Has anyone ever had a chick internally pip on day 18?

Two little babies! They are now 3 weeks old. Looking like Downy is a roo. Probably Nug Nug too.

Yes I guess we will wait and see. It is so hard! I will update when he hatches. These eggs are an attempt at hatching some of Nuggets eggs. Nugget is a Golden Laced Sebright who was attacked by a hawk 18 days ago. I will make sure to update this thread.

I had the exact same thing happen. I'm incubating eggs (on day 20 now) because my rooster silver either got killed by a hawk or stolen.

Ah. I had a really good hatch rate. 3 of 4 pipped. One was not making any progress so I decided to help. I literally hatched it with no blood or any other problem. It died though. Something internal I assume.

It happens, it probably was something internal wrong with it, I started with 8 eggs but 1 died on day 3 and as far as I can see the other 7 are all fully developed and alive now
