Late this winter my wyandotte hen (checkers) went broody on a bunch of eggs the only one that ended up hatching was one of her sisters (snow)'s eggs and i only have 1 roo his name is Phoenix and he is a RIR so i know that she will be RIR x Wyandotte. the new chicks name is yuma and she is going to be a month old on Sunday if anyone has an adult of this type of hybrid can you post pictures because i am very interested in what Yuma will look like when she is fully grown.

Thank ya'll

Gotta say, I'm curious also. Within a couple of months I'll have two Blue wynadotte roos seranading RIR and BR hens. Will this make my chicks Black and Blue with Red all over?

If the Rooster is a pure Rhode Island Red and the Hen is a pure Silver Laced Wyandotte.
Then the chicks would be Sex-Linked, as chicks the Cockerels will be white and Pullets will be reddish in color..
As adults they will look similar to the Red Sex-Link...

Should be rose combed right? This is more of a question than it is an answer. But assuming the SLW is Rose comb and the RIR is SC the resluting offspring is likely to be Rose comb since it is dominant????

Actually, the "Cinnamon Queen" - Sexlinked hybrid of New Hampshire reds and Silver Laced Wyandottes also creates reddish hens, but they have single combs.

Yes, should be Rose Comb but I wouldn't be surprised if some come out Single Comb..
