has anyone ever ordered from eggs from ray velentine

I am interested in talking with anyone that has bought hatching eggs from ray Valentine,
I want to know what their hatch rate was and what they thought of the eggs

the eggs weren't that dark.

my hatch rate was about 19%. I've gotten better at it since then but also I think the shipping from florida to indiana in feb was a killer, too.

wasn't unhappy with him, his packaging or his eggs though. just what happens with shipped eggs.

I haven't bought eggs from him, but I bought three Cuckoo Marans. I'm delighted with the birds, they are beautiful and excellent layers, and the eggs are always dark.

I have gotten eggs from Ray. The color of the eggs he sent were about a 4 on the Marans chart. Hatch rate was pretty good for shipped eggs. One of the hens hatched from his eggs lays about a 5 on the chart. His prices are good for what you are getting. If you are looking for really dark eggs like 7 or higher you will pay anywhere from $45 to $120 per dozen.
