Has anyone ever set up a camera in the coop to see who is laying what eggs?

I thought I'd set up my game camera in the coop to see who is laying which eggs. It takes a picture every minute, and when you play them back, it's like a movie. My girls have just started laying and I want to know who is laying and who is not, and also which egg color belongs to which bird.

I can't watch every minute of the day to see, but maybe the camera will work and I can find out.

Great idea! My problem is the need for several of these devices and the cost of them. But I think that most of the laying will be done by 10am or earlier so there won't be a massive amount of video to sift through.

Surprisingly, for the last 2 days, I have been getting them around 2:30 in the afternoon. These guys just started laying this week, so I'm sure their internal clocks are not adjusted yet. I can't wait to see how this works out.

I am also obsessed with who is laying which egg! Here's a photo of my closed circuit monitor camera my husband found for me on craigslist:

This is my BA, Alaska, watching my Prod. Red, Peach lay an egg. This way I know when they are done and I can run out and grab the egg to see what the eggs look like from which chicken.

Found an egg in the afternoon in our nest box yesterday. They have all been found in the morning since someone started laying this last Monday, so it was a surprise. :)
