Just curious - I've got ducks, turkeys, and RIR and Isa Brown hens all laying (plus coturnix and button quai, but those eggs are too tiny to even consider being practical).

They make such a pretty combination. I even have two colors of duck eggs, since one of the hens lays beige/white eggs and the rest lay green. So, darker, medium brown hens eggs, pale beige speckled turkey eggs, and green and beige/white duck eggs.

I wonder if people would buy these -- I know they would need to be labeled with each species in case of food allergy issues.

Why not try? Put an ad on Craig's List and see if you have any takers

I sell mixed egg baskets and make more money than I should on them because they are pretty. People love them. And no, I don't label them. An egg is an egg. People allergic to chicken eggs are not going to test whether they are allergic to other types of eggs, generally.

Good luck.

When I had turkey and goose eggs to mix in with my chicken eggs people loved them!!! Most of the time they'd open their carton, see all those different eggs and slip me a little something extra just because they were so pretty. I sold most of my eggs from craigslist and ads I put up in our small local grocery store. Now I don't even have to place the ads anymore as my customers practically blow my phone up when they need eggs.......good luck!!!

I'd save duck eggs for really good customers who bake a lot because they are so wonderful for bakery. Other than that, I sell mixed colors but don't have any ducks atm. Guineas yes, but those I don't mix in except a few extra for a friend who's little girl loves them cause they're cute and little.

I agree with CMV, mix em up and charge extra... warn people that you won't have them like that all year since turkeys and ducks are seasonal layers... the scarcity/seasonal nature of them will add to the value for some.

Also agree, egg allergies won't usually matter if they're duck, chicken or turkey.

Those eggs are so pretty I'm sure people will be standing in line!
