Very interesting! I found this website that explains in detail how to do it, and includes a video where she cracks a fresh egg and an egg that has been "glassed" for 12 months to show the comparison.

I bought the lime earlier this year so that I could try this! I need to decide if I'm brave enough to use a gallon gallon sized jar or just do a quart!
