Has anyone ever used...

I use one on my dog, he likes it better than clippers, because it doesn't push down on the nails. They need to make a mini one for cat claws lol.

i know I have a sphnx and his nails are long and i need a mini one. When mine kicks the bucket i will get a new one of ebay again I got min for six 999 plus shipping

I know one person who got it for her neurotic rat terriers because they wouldn't tolerate a nail clipper. Well, they don't like the Pedi-paw thing either. Of course, she didn't follow all the directions about desensitizing the dogs to the noise and vibration, either. Plus, she was as nervouse about using it as they were, so I'm sure they picked up on that.
You successful users - did you follow the given advice to a tee? or do you have any other suggestions?

my dog hates having his feet touched, so my mom will have to hold him, and distract him so I can trim his nails. I didn't read the instructions for the pedipaws, I just used it. Maybe she should have someone do that with her dogs, distract them so she can trim the nails.

I know I said her dogs are neurotic, but I guess I meant INSANE. If restrained, they will thrash and bite. Using minimal restraint has the same result. I tried to help once, with treats, but she won't put up the other dogs (there's 6 in all), so the one being handled feels threatened by the others. We won't even go into all the times I've tried to offer training advice (I have 6 well-behaved dogs, from chi-cross and pom to pyr). Like banging your head against the wall, over and over and...

i just used the tool and feed some treats at the same time I felt my dogs would do better that way. Don't use the cap it can catch a dog nail.

Yep, I take the cap off. I use the same one on the cat.

No I didn't buy the pedi paws , I bought the super expensive one that came out first. Of course my dog hates it and I only used it 3x.

Both of my dogs freaked out... It was probably because I'm impulsive and couldn't wait to try it out and didn't really read instructions. I've found that my shepherd mix wears his nails down pretty good and I can catch him with the clipper while he's sleeping and my husky bites his nails - so I never have to trim those.

Maybe I should just put that thing on craigslist - anyone in WI want a once or twice used pedi paws?
