Has Anyone Gotten Chicks from MPC Yet This Year?

I've seen lots of posts for other hatcheries, but I have yet to see a post for My Pet Chicken. I was just wondering if anyone has received any chicks from MPC yet and what your experience (living rate) has been.

I'll be getting my chicks next week.

I ordered chicks from MPC last May and had a good experience. One died 3 days after they arrived, but the other 4 survived and were/are beautiful. I recently lost one hen to a hawk (I apologize if I keep going on and on about it), so a friend of mine ordered 10 chicks for me as a birthday gift/condolence gift. I'm so excited. Whatever chicks I don't feel I can keep (I'm thinking 5), I'm going to give to a fellow-chicken fancier at work that loves her babies almost as much as I love mine.

I got 8 from MPC 6 days ago and all are doing perfectly.

That is all good to hear! I'm jealous you're getting yours so soon. I won't be getting mine until the second week in April (I need the temps here to warm up a bit AND I need to get a coop built for them).

I got two batches last year from MPC and I was very impressed by the customer service and the health and quality of the chicks - don't buy feed from them....I did get a wormy bag of feed and they said they would replace it but never did. I now buy feed locally.

So glad to hear MPC babies are doing well! Were set to get ours March 8th! =-) That's the ship date! YEAH! **crossing fingers and toes for their safe arrival!*

My 10 babies arrived on 3/2 with no problems...some minor issues since then...two suffered from foot injuries from getting stomped on (at least that's what my BYC friends have helped me come to the conclusion of). Other than that, the babies are beautiful and healthy.

How quickly you remember that having a full-time job, chicks that need to be checked multiple times a day, and having errands that you want to run don't mix.

The errands come after work, and my lunch hour is spent cleaning out water containers and checking on the babies. But I'm loving every minute of it!
