Has anyone gotten ducks from Purely Poultry

Hi all!

I am supposed to get my 3 little ducks shipped out on Monday from Purely Poultry. I am in Wyoming and I am very nervous about their traveling. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have had success with Purely Poultry? Do they send a tracking number so you can watch their travels? I am so nervous that they are going to die. If anyone has had ducklings shipped I would love to hear from you and what you do to help them settle in. This will be my first time with ducks so although I have researched extensively I am still a bit nervous for these little babies.

Go to their web site they have information on everything. I haven't ordered ducklings from them but did chicks and it was a great experience. Purely Poultry is middle man they don't have a hatchery they have many breeders though all over the country so hopefully your ducklings won't be too far away. I am in Western NC and my chicks came from MO. Did you ask for heat pad? they will also put gro gel in the box. Good luck, what breed?

I am getting a Cayuga, Blue Runner, and a Crested Pekin all of which will be females. My hope is to have one imprint on my son. I think it would be so awesome for him to have a pet duck. He loves birds, but my little dove is a bit to small for him right now so I figured a duck might be just perfect. I plan to let whatever one imprints be an inside duck along with our two tiny dogs.

I bet it will become fast friends with your two dogs. My ducks and my dogs chase each other all the time, and I think they all enjoy each others' company!
