Has anyone had a tom kill chickens?

I have a tom who has been attacking chickens while free ranging. It's been pretty violent, but I thought it was just pecking order stuff. The other day I saw him pick up a hen by the neck and jerk her up and down a few times. Yesterday I found two dead hens with nothing else wrong with them except broken necks. I can't think of what other predator besides a dog would do that kind of damage, and there isn't any way a dog could get into the free range area. I have the Tom locked up today. Is it really possible he's to blame?

It is highly likely that your tom is the culprit.

Yeah, I'm thinking turkey dinner soon. I've kept him isolated ever since the incident. No more deaths.
