Has anyone heard of using a strap runner for peacocks?

I have a friend who thinks he can tie a leather or some soft material around a peacocks foot and attach it to a dog like runner. Has anyone tried? I don't think it is a good idea but I need "reasons" why not to try it. It makes me nervous and I am scared he would break a leg or maybe worse.. Thanks Carrie

That is a terrible idea. Bird legs are VERY fragile. They could easily be broken in a struggle with the strap.

Bad idea, Peas jump straight up in the air 6 foot or more sometimes when they are startled, i see dislocated leg happening.

Game roosters do fine with them..........not sure with the power of a peacock , could damage his leg, maybe if train from early age. wouldn't want it to long maybe 6 foot
