I have an order coming from them in July, just wondering if anyone else ordered from them this year, and how it went.....

I just got my order from them monday mor about 7:30. I ordered 5 buff silkies, 4 buff brahmas, 5 cuckoo marans, 5 blue cochins, 1 turken ( DH called and added that on as a funny suprise), 4 salmon faverolles, 3 buff orpingtons, 1 free rare chick, and they added 1 free buff orpington female. I had 1 DOA ( to be expected I guess). All other chicks are very health and happy so far. I don't really have any concerns Tisha

I did April 20th Batam assorted What did you order??? Mine was half good and half bad experience. I have ordered with them for 5 yrs and will again.

Yes we had our shipment come tues after Easter (which was probably too long for them), and we had lost 10 chicks, but the replacement shipment with 13 packing peanuts all arrived perfectly the next Sunday at the main PO where we picked them up. All are now 3 and 4 weeks and doing well.

I ordered 13 Black Stars for my mother and then for me I ordered a lot of different breeds.....Lets see, Silver Spangled Hamburgs, White Rocks, Red Leghorns, Brown Leghorns, Buff Minorca, Blue Andalusian, and an Ancona......I love having all different breeds running around.

We received 25 (well, 26 with the "free exotic chick") of the "Rarest of the Rare" assortment. We have only lost one, but it was a little guy to start with. All appear to be healthy and happy two week old chicks.

I did have an issue with their hatching/shipping policies. You could have searched for a few pages of information on opinions regarding this subject but the powers that be at this site must have found it to be non-appropriate and removed the thread.

I ordered a brown egg laying assortment and have been pleased, lost only one from 26 and it was most likely my fault as it was days later and chick appeared healthy when I got them. This was in Feb. So good luck and have fun.

We ordered our Australorps in the fall and received them in Nov (ready to lay by spring) Even all the way to Alabama, they were in great shape! We ordered 25 (23 pullets and 2 cockerels) and received 28! They all lived and are great, healthy layers now. We were able to sell all but 13 (12 layers and 1 roo) over the past few months and make back the price of our entire order! It was the best experience we have had.

Also, the free rare breed they threw in is a lovely dark-brown layer as well (not sure of her breed I will have to post pic.)

8 Australorp eggs in the bator due FRIDAY!!!

I ordered 27 chicks including Frizzles, silkies, a variety of Cochins and 2 Araucanas. They arrived last monday and I was lucky because the post office called me at 6 am on monday and I was able to go pick them up. They all arrived healthy and even the little guy/gal I wasent too sure of is doing great. *knock on wood*
I did order their Gro-Gel Plus and the babies really liked it as a first meal. I am happy with McMurray.
