Was wondering if anyone had ordered from mypetchicken or meyer hatchery. If anyone has could you tell me if you were happy with them and stuff like that. I an trying to find a place to order chicks next spring and am looking for a good place to order from. Thanks

Many people on here rave about MPC's excellent customer service but they are not a hatchery but rather a middleman.

For Meyer. Yes I have bought from Meyer and yes I was pleased and displeased, but mostly pleased. I live down the road so it is convenient. I got my turkeys from them and love them.

I ordered from MPC, but i was not pleased, they had bad customer service, I had 2 chicks die in the mail and they were bad on the phone when we called them, we got another order, 2 died again, we called, and they werent very nice to us when we called

I ordered hatching eggs from MPC,all hatched no problem. When I order baby chicks I only order from McMurray.

My first chickies (16 wks old this mon) came from Meyer Via MPC..I was very pleased with the customer service and the help I receieved when one was not doing well upon arrival. I had even added to my first order and they were very helpful.

Mine have never had pasty butts and are all very healthy, friendly chicks, I will definitely order from them again.

I ordered from Meyer this spring. they were my very first chickens. I actually picked them up instead of having them shipped because I couldn't have picked
them up from the P.O. during a work day and I didn't want them hanging around for hours in who knows what conditions. Anyway, I'm glad I did
it that way. It was fun watching them change over their first few hours of life. The birds have been healthy, but the Buckeye doesn't seem to be true
to type. Supposed to be a calm and sociable bird according to what I've read, she is very nervy. I noticed her extreme reactions even her first day of life, and she
is still that way. She's thinner than the other birds too and slower to develop. Other than that she seems healthy. Though I'm not sure why she doesn't seem to be
putting on weight. I don't think I would order another Buckeye from Meyer's. They are all getting close to laying now . We'll see how that turns out. Maybe she is
a late bloomer.

I've ordered from both. My chicks from MPC were all very healthy and most of them are wonderful. I got EE's who lay blue eggs and are friendly. My BO's are not huge, but large enough and one went broody this spring

I got 2 BR hens and 1 BR rooster and he was a mean thing. Had to get rid of him. But, he was pretty huge and beautiful, except he only had 1 waddle.

My order from Meyer was a big mistake. The birds are okay, my leghorns are a little small and my andalusians don't have much lacing, but they lay well. They didn't ship me one of the chicks I ordered, and then another one died within a week. They were kind on the phone about the one they didn't ship, though, and gave me a refund.

Do you have your breeds picked out yet?
