Has anyone seen a Mallard with this coloring?

Hi All,

Has anyone seen a mallard with this coloring before? We got her at TSC and the other three we got have the more traditional coloring.

Do you mean because she doesnt have blue tip wings and the brown patterns?

The only other hen that has that coloring is a Rouen but these get much larger up to 6-7 lbs. Mallards typically run about 2 lbs.

Yes and because she is a very light gray where her companions are black and brown. She’s quacking so I’m pretty confident she’s is a she lol

It looks like you may have gotten a rare “blue Fawn” Mallard.

She’s only 5 weeks old but she’s definitely quacking. Our other mallards are black and brown while she is light gray

Well if male the head starts to turn green with white stripe about 13-14 weeks and can have grey with brown body.

I have a khaki Campbell mallard cross who looks like her

Well if male the head starts to turn green about 13-14 weeks and can have grey with brown body.

5 weeks, this was has started to quack already so am pretty sure it’s a female.
