so today when i turned my duck eggs i candled all of them to see how they are progressing, all of them look really good. im on day 17 i think.
the last one i looked at had black free floating specks in what was the little bit i could see through the egg. the duckling is active inside. but these black floaties are a cause for concern.
anyone have this happen? anyone know what it could be?.
i tryed to take a picture of them but putting the egg down and grabing my camra and picking it back up they dissapeared.
ill be keeping an eye on this booger for sure.

thank you

im not to sure they really look free floating and they where darker then any of the vains that ive seen..
at first thought i thought it was blood clots.

OH!!! I'VE HAD THE SAME QUESTION A WHILE AGO!!! That sounds EXACTLY like something I had when I incubated duck eggs. They float around and there's a lot right? It's just chick fluff that fell off. It had nothing to do with the hatch rate. They all hatched out fine and when I checked the eggs it was just specks of fluff. It's fine

are they old enough to have fluff
