I have a jar of all natural organic PB that I was tempted to put in their Home Made forage cake this AM but decided not to.....

didn't want to take a chance and ruin the whole cake .....

but if OK I can pour on top after the cakes are done baking as it is very runny being natural (even after mixing oil in)...that's why my family won't eat it and I don't want it to go to waste.

here is what I did put in.....

Soaked some stale bread (no mold) with a little water and added 2 eggs...then mixed in the following

Cracked corn
BOSS
pepitas (pumpkin seeds no hull no salt)
Flax seed
dried blueberries
oatmeal
no sugar organic granola

I basically cleaned out my pantry of older items that my family wasn't going to eat.

I would totally use it!!! YEP

Looks wonderful!
Hoping your flock enjoys it as much as you did baking it for them!
(Can chickens smack their lips? Yours ought to be after eating this!!!)

My chicken's favorite snack is roasted peanuts followed by grapes and bananas. Actually, I think grapes might come first. No. They are not spoilt.

Some one had mentioned freezing a block of ice with seeds and safe sprouts for them in summer time this way they stay cool. I was thinking a 1/2 gal cont. and some goodies in them. You can freeze berries so why not. seems like they would have fun with it I love your idea can't wait till they girls are old enough to try..
