Has anyone tubed antibiotics or medicine?

I know how to tube feed a chicken and but has anyone just tubed a soluble anti biotic before or diluted Dylan 50? I need to give my boy medicine, but he is not eating or drinking. Having some respiratory issues, so should I be wary to tube hi at all?

My big turkeys get 6-7ml of fenbendazole wormer and I tube that into them, no reason you couldn't do that with antibiotics. Oh, almost forgot, I tube Nystatin to my hen with vent gleet. I don't use powdered antibiotics, but if I did, I would *definitely* tube it rather than wonder if they were getting the correct dose from drinking

Just had a thought... Is your bird mouth breathing? If so, be careful not to block the trachea when you tube.

You could try doing it with a smaller tube. The one pictured is 18 french, maybe a 12 would be better?

Too bad you aren't close, you could come by and pick one up. Can you get the tubes from a vet?

I usually use aquarium tubing when I have to feed them, I'm not sure what the diameter is on that.....but it works.

It's probably around a 1/4".
