Has Anyone Used a Treadle Feeder for Geese?

We've had good luck with a homemade treadle feeder for our chickens. I am considering a large Grandpa's Feeder for our geese, to combat a growing rodent problem

. I am sure they'll figure out how to use it quickly enough, but I'm concerned about geese not standing on the treadle being able to snake their long necks around the side panels and stick their heads into the feeder while it is open, only to get their little heads slammed when the other goose steps off the treadle. Any feedback?
