Has anyone used colloidal or nano silver with new chicks?

I don't want to use medicated feed as I can't get organic if it is medicated and I am totally against GMO's. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to put some nano silver in the chicks water to help boost their immune system. Any thoughts from anyone?

Our family was also planning to add colloidal silver the chicks' water as well. Only plan to use a small amount, like 1/4 tsp per batch of water (which will probably be about a pint). I don't think it can hurt!
