Has anyone used hand warmers to keep water from freezing too quickly

Hi, welcome to BYC....you can't put them IN the water, as they need oxygen to work. I do not know but maybe under a SMALL bowl, it might work, depending on your temps, but they only last a few hours. As I said, i really don't know. You could experiment. I have used them for my hands, putting in my mittens.. I got several last spring on sale and just used them this past weekend. One brand lasted a lot longer than the other. I'll have to see if I can find the packages and note what brand that was.
