That's what I figured, 21... if you have a coonie, you certainly understand that a certain amount of vocalizing is part n parcel of the joys of dog ownership! What I don't understand is people who get a dog of a breed known to be noisy like a Beagle, when they live in an apartment or condo, and then have its vocal cords cut. Selfishness and idiocy!

There are hunting dogs around here and sometimes I can't tell their songs from the coyotes'. It's all just night music... but then, it's not close enough to be an issue. Till Gracie hears it, that is!

Yeah, she is loved. She's my bud. Not a cuddlebug, but my boon companion anyway. We're a couple of old ladies together.

In the pic she is just 6 weeks old and 7#14oz. The runt of course.
Her mom is 115# and pops is 120#. I do think she may be big.
At her 7 week weigh in she was 11# 4oz.

Allergies. That's it.

Definitely allergies.

Just found this thread. I am so happy you found an adult sheltie, he sounds great. So cute, shaded sable is my fav color. Another sheltie fan here, although I have only had a couple. And a couple mixes with sheltie in them. Most of my dogs just fall in my lap, so I rarely go looking for one. And the one time I said, "This time I am going to get my sheltie" one fell in my lap! The love of my life, too, although he was not a healthy dog. Most expensive "free" dog ever. You have enough experience to know when you meet him, if he is the right dog for you. Are you taking Gracie to meet him too? In my opinion, that is the most important thing, although my experience is that most shelties naturally gravitate towards other shelties. Can't wait to hear all about it.
