Has anyone used these for shipping coturnix or button eggs?

Or have you received eggs shipped in these? I need to get some more cartons for my coturnix' eggs before they kick into high gear and was thinking about getting these. Since I usually ship in lots of at least 4-5 dozen I figured these would work well. Beats the little 10-packs I usually use. Price-wise these are about the same as the 10-count plastic ones from GQF, but I don't know about the size? My coturnix' eggs are not huge, but they are not as small as a northern bobwhite's egg either. Button eggs are, well, button eggs...pretty tiny

The 10-count plastic cartons, for 100 cartons, average to about $.021 per egg (20.72 w/shipping for 100 cartons/1000 eggs). These paper egg cartons average to about $.018 per egg (26.39 w/ shipping for 50 cartons/1500 eggs).

Please post your experiences with the paper cartons, NOT the plastic. I've been using the plastic ones for quite some time and I know how they work.

I use the standard chuckar flats for shipping coturnix eggs. You can get them from GQF.
I've stress tested them to a level 2 shipping accident, and they came out fine...As far as shell damage goes.

I don't know about these cartons, but will take a look.

I have had eggs shipped in them, and only 4 out of 60 were broken thanks to the mail man who dropped the box and ran off. I use them on some orders and I have only had a few eggs not fit and they were double yolkers. There is enough room to lay a strip of bubble wrap over the top, but not much more.

When I sent some button eggs in them, I just put a kleenex in the corner, put in the first egg, then the next, and more tissue on top - didn't find out yet how they made the trip, but it looked like they would be secure for shipping.

I figured the per carton price when I ordered them, and the next two quantities aren't a lot cheaper for the price, but the shipping was only a little more, so if you had someone to split an order with, or just wanted to store them, that might be worth considering.

I figure the 'per egg' price on them, I'm not as much concerned with the per-carton price. The cartons I normally use hold 10 eggs, so it's easier to compare them that way.
