Hi Daniel.. I had my Pekin Drake with 2 female ducks and 3 very large female chickens and the drake harassed the chickens all the time and I had to separate them. He really liked my EE hen and her back was bare from him trying to mate her. She is fine now, but I had to separate them, maybe you will have better luck

Oh, my drake also drowned a bantam hen I had also. So I wouldn't trust it, with smaller birds anyway.

My rooster would never let our drake go near his girls. He does his job. ...a little too well. If there was a problem with ours at all, it was the rooster harassing the ducks. Only every now and then, just to show them who's boss.
My experience has been that males will be males, even when it's two different species. There will be territory issues and they'll try to mate the females, both chickens and ducks. Only one can be the top bird, though.
Ours weren't in a coop. They had a ton of space to get away from each other. In the end, when the rooster was gone our place was much more peaceful. To make a long story short- Your roo probably won't like him there.

I have the opposite problem. I have a rooster that was merciless with my one Runner duck. He would chase and mount her as she was not fast enough to escape his advances.
He dislocated her wing from his constant attention.
He was confined for several weeks and this seemed to curb his appetite for ducks and he's not bothered them since.

I have six runners ducks, two drakes 4 hens, and three OEGB hens. They all get along fine, but sometimes one of the drakes will chase the chickens around. But I have a little silver duck wing hen that fights back. They only fight once in a blue moon, and their doesn't seem to be any harm done to either birds.

I am having major problems with my pekin ducks ( I think I have one of each sex) all but killing my hens. The duck I think that is the male does try and mount the hens and the duck I think is a female attacks the hens over and over. The poor hens have few feathers and have to hide from the ducks all day. They all free range but the ducks always find the hens so they have to stay hidden. I wish I had a solution to stop the ducks from doing this. Anyone have this problem?
