Okay fantastic that's what I needed to hear may I ask when I take the egg out and create a safety hole should I put the egg on a warm damp towel while I try and create the hole ?

No. Use a warm dry towel. The moisture from a damp towel will evaporate causing the egg to cool.

Personally I just hold the egg in my hand. I use a small drill bit (no drill) and turn it by hand.

That's what I ended up doing it easier holding it very sad ending though there was no progress 12 hours later so we zipped the egg using tweezers to push/crack a little zip line but unfortunately the chick was stiff and dead it was shrink wrapped that must have been why it looked to be vibrating and not really rocking but I don't think I would of been able to save it if I assisted earlier as the yolk was only half absorbed very sad but a lesson was learnt

You can't get all of them to hatch. Don't feel bad about it.
