Has Your Duck Ever Hatched More Than 12 ?

My Rouen just hatched 12 ducklings.

Some where between last night and this morning. And there's still 3 more eggs in the nest which she has returned to. I thought 12 was a lot to hatch. My Golden Cascade only hatched 7 ducklings two weeks ago, leaving the other 4 unhatched eggs in the nest (I hatched 3 of the eggs in the bator. ~Julie~

Umm yes my Muscovy hatched 16/17 earlier this week! I was thrilled but one did die the next day so 15 survived....

i have heard a Muscovy can hatch 18-22 no problem . but this is interesting to see who has had the most hatch.

Muscovies hatch large clutches. I saw a wild mallard with 14 once.

i had a muscovy lay 21eggs and 21 hatched i couldnt beleve it it was great at thae start but they soon grow up

My scovy hatched 19 out of 20 of the runner duck eggs she had, which i was surprised at since the lady who gave me the eggs told me to not get my hopes up as to if they are even fertalised
