Hi please could someone give me advice on this issue..all information I'm able to get is with regards to disease...
I went into the broody coop and found the new chick had rolled out egg shell when mother turned around..I it was ice cold and wet I popped it back under her but when I checked on it that evening it had some bloody discharge around beak and its eye looked as though it had been stood on.it has was unable to close eye and the eye lid looks squished into eye ball.it's 4 days latter and eye now resembles an eye new mom has finally taken him out forging.my question is does this happen often and is there any way to help the chick before further damage i.e....like would watering the eye as it wad like glued dry that way?
