Hatch date May 17! anybody else?

I just took it out, its still moving. Its zipped half way around, I picked at the shell a little..then wrapped it in a warm damp paper towel and put it back in the incubator..Im going to continue to help it..wish me luck

Its out, alive but weak..peeping still ever so often...there was green stuff in the egg..Is that poop?
Not sure if the little one will make it but I hope so

Finally saw a chick this evening!! I am thrilled! Better than Christmas! I tried to look under broody for more, but only saw eggs - one of which I'm sure is a dud as I had numbered them. Hoping to see a new face in the morning....

I also wanted to let you all know that 4 of the 8 eggs in the Bator have pipped !!! I'm so excited!

I think something is wrong with one of its leg, perhaps why it couldnt hatch on its own. It keeps trying to stand but cant. Im very sad about this whole thing

, I will see if the little guy makes it through the night and take a look at its leg in the morning when its all dried off. I just dont know if I made the right choice to help this chick

Definitely give it the night. Brand-new chicks are clumsy as all heck for the first 12-24 hours; they're too weak to stand for long and they tend to sleep a lot. I had a late hatcher with one of my broodies this spring (late enough that it couldn't keep up with the rest, and nearly died of exposure). By the second day he was a lot stronger, but still having trouble keeping up. By the third day, no more problems. So hopefully this one will improve with time.
