Hatch date May 17! anybody else?

I there are cooler spots, do you think they might still hatch, just a little delayed...? Im debating on how long i should wait and leave them in there?

I would think that there is a very good chance that at least some of them will hatch. I've heard about some going til day 25 or so. If there are no pips you could candle again but I would wait a couPle more days

I'm up to 11 hatched now out of 25!

These are in a Little Giant forced air unit and it was getting crowded with all the shells and chicks running over everything. So I did open it up and take out the chick that were all dried off and put them in the brooder. Closed it right back up then! Now there is some room for the rest to get going!!

So I was gone for about 3 hours this afternoon, checked the eggs before I left..No sign of any pips, got home was looking in checking..still no signs of pips and then I saw a chick in the back left corner all hatched out and cheeping away..Now its laying down, sleeping.( I hope)
So how random is that 1 chick out of 24..I really hope this means maybe others have pipped just underneath where i cant see them and more will start to hatch..If more are going to hatch would nt you think it would be over the next 24 hours?

I think that I have doomed my chicks.

I *KNOW* that I'm not supposed to mess with the temperature dial but I got home from work at 4am this morning and the temp was down to 96* so what do I do

....turn it up....

I watched it for about an hour and then went to bed. 4 hours later the alarm sounded.... 102* grrr... so then....I turned it down and then at 11:30am it was back down to 95* this time.... ARGH!!!

Already I'm kicking myself because I think I had the overall incubating temp too low. The instant read thermometer read between 98* and 100* but more at 98*. The one that came with the incubator usually marked right at the line. Then...we had a week of hot weather and now....may 17th were back down to 46* outside....which means its about 60* inside the house and well.... I hope these chicks are survivors is all I have to say!

We did candle them on Saturday night and they all seemed to be doing ok. The eggs were 2/3 shadowed and we saw movement in all 20. Now I'm just hoping that this yo-yo-ing of temperatures isn't going to kill them all now that they are in lockdown.

Oh my gosh MamacitaGallina, Hopefully it didnt effect them any and they will all hatch happily.. Hatching is so stressful yet so addicting...

I've got some due to hatch in a few days and a few in a week. Some are turkey eggs, some guinea eggs and some serama eggs and a few EE's. The hatch should be spread out over a few days.

So thoughts anyone? The one chick that hatched has 2 little pieces of shell stuck to her, is that normal cause she has just hatched and as she dries it will fall off? or is my humidity not high enough, should I raise it? It right around 60% give or take

What is your humidity ? and your temp

ETS : Sorry I see i didnt read all the way through, not many agree with me but I hatch between 70 % - and 75 % humidity and my chicks come out really good with temps between 99.5 - 101
