I now this has been asked a bizillion times but I searched for a while and have not found anything yet so here goes
Night of Nov 7th set the eggs
Nov 8th day 1
Nov 25th to hatcher day or evening
I candled last night I have pictures that are not downloaded yet they seem like they may be behind a day or 2 LONG LONG story human error ( my sisters when I left the house for 3 hours)(and the packing lost 8 there) and I have 3 eggs out of 48 left. I may have a suprise for you all if it hatches. I kept one with a hairline crack ( I know I know I have been keeping a very close eye on the egg and turning it 45 degrees only with crack up side to side) after the LG got the temp spike from sister I seperated the eggs I had in homemade (really hard to regulate temps after I got the eggs finally figured it out (the hubbie and the AC) and left this one in there as of last night all looks well so we shall see. The reason I wanted to do this test is when we had ostriches we had a hen lay an egg on a rock and it got a hole in it we sealed up with wax the egg shell membrane was intact and tried it hatched and was just like any other of the chicks so I decided to give this one a chance I ordered a mix only got 4 blues and they were all cracked just this one the least.
I am so bummed about my first hatching experience but may everything will go well with the 3 that are left and I have more eggs on there way tomorrow and may make husband SO SO Shy, do the unthinkable and stop on his way into town on Tuesday and ask if they have any fertile hatching eggs for sale.
I know long story hard to follow but thats me brain always goes 49 gifferent ways.
