Hatch Day Woes

Are you monitoring the temperature with a secondary thermometer our just taking the incubator word for it. You likely have it at either but the incubator isn't heating right so adjustments need to be made

Again I'll look at calibrating my equipment. I do have a digital thermometer/hygrometer in the incubator as well as the thermometer on the incubator, however I do not trust the digital reading. It has been reading slightly lower than the set temperature of the incubator but another thermometer of the same make was reading much higher when I had that in.

** UPDATE ** 11:25am GMT

Two more external pips are now visible and they are working their way through. First hatched chick is causing a ruckus!

I am now up to four hatched chicks, with another one pipped and making it's way slowly.

I'm actually quite worried about the fourth hatch as they were quite quick to break through but they were trampled on exiting the shell. A small yellow/white blob was left and the shell still has a couple of blood veins. I'm sure they wouldn't have hatched if not ready, however the chick doesn't look as lively as the others when they hatched. Slightly more wet/naked looking and just curled up at the back of the incubator, with the odd wiggle. Hope they'll come around, but don't suppose there is anything I can do to help?
