Today is day 28, so I should hopefully start to see some action going on???? Maybe ...Khaki Campbell eggs, just want them to come out!!!!

This past week, I was waiting on two KC eggs. Once hatched 2 days before due date, the other went over time. I wasn't worried about this because it can take the little ducklings time (and lots of effort) to break open the shell. Unfortunately, 2 days after due date, I knew something was wrong with the 2nd egg. I was right, it wasn't viable.

So, that leads me to ask a couple of questions:-

~ when did you last candle your eggs and did everything look fine and dandy?
~ do you know if any have internally pipped yet? (This means they have broken through the membrane into the egg air space)
~ can you hear any 'peeping' sounds from the eggs?

Well, I checked them a we bit ago, out of curiosity. Egg 4 had black spots all through, so I took it out. And another eggs had stopped forming, but I left it in just in case, well, afraid it didn't make it either. I monitored that ones movement for a few days, there was always No movement. So, we are down to five eggs. I know that I have 3 that a perfect, 1 the eggs is a little too dense to see through, and 1 I am not sure is good, but I will leave it in for longer, I guess.
