That's always a good feeling...Have a great hatch!..All these hatchings making me want to put eggs in the bator!!!...

Congrats, that is a great hatch.

LOL Tuff, we who are hatching have had the excitement of having babies hatch but now we have chickens in the house for who know how long. That is a big downside to winter hatches. I am still worried about the 8 week olds that I moved out two weeks ago. They still have a light but man it is going to dip down to the teens again tonight.

Congrats on the great hatch, Twila! Jaynie, I know what you mean. I have 13 chicks from 7-12 weeks old in the nursery coop, but they have a 250 watt heatlamp as well as a 150 watt red reptile heat bulb that a very nice customer brought me when she came to pick up her chicks, so they should be nice and toasty out there. Still, I worry, especially if we lose power. We have 20 chicks in the brooder in the bsmt and a generator ready to go, but I wonder, what if the power if off and we run out of gas?
Yep, there are some worries with incubating in winter, for sure! We're under a weather advisory tonight through tomorrow. Oh, the drama!
Can't wait to see the pics, Twila!
