O lordie.... I've been summoned to fire up to incubator a lil early. Normally I start after christmas. If any Minnesotans are interested in silkie or standard cochin chicks, please message me to get on a list. These are purposely being hatched early in accordance for the fall show season. Day olds start at $5 each, are pick up only, and will go up in price with age/quality. If there are any here in the 2-3 month old age range this spring, I will ship too. Lil too cold for day-olds over winter though.

Right now I'm getting close to 2 dozen silkie eggs and maybe 1-2 standard cochin eggs per day. With cold weather approaching, the gals will probably cut down on laying and eggs will be frozen before I can get to them soon too though. I am just regulating temp on the incubator and will be setting about 8 dozen eggs by tomorrow. I have separate pens for the silkies...blacks, whites, 2 splash/blue, and buff. We only have 8 standard cochins total and they are housed together....2 blacks, 4 blues, 1 white, and 1 splash. These are all exhibition birds with no DQ's. All have been shown at one time or another. Feel free to take a look at any pics on here: http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d196/destiny_56085/ Lots of pics of my breeding stock and chicks from past years.
