Hatched 4 days early?!

OK...I had these eggs candled PRE-incubation. No growth. Now, all of a sudden I have a chick pipped and partially out 4 days before it is due.

I'm not complaining but daggumit!!! It's frustrating when you have everything planned out.

I had the eggs marked with a pencil when I put them in: 7/4 and 7/5. The egg that hatched early was a 7/4.

What on EARTH!!! The incubator is not running high, it's a balmy 99.5*F to 100.2*F in the incubator. ARG.

They are just like kids. They don't realize we plan for them and they are nt suppose to come early or late, but they always do.

Think of it this way, they just couldn't wait to hatch and see your happy, shining face! And you'll have a few extra days of bonding time.

(seriously though, I've heard they can hatch any where from day 18 on.)
