hi...I have a chick that hatched on the 2nd of Feb, and it has curled feet. I put bandaids on his feet to try to fix them (on the 3rd). This is the first hatching I’ve had a chick with this issue. Even with the bandaids on its feet, it won’t walk. It sits back on its butt, and doesn’t even attempt to walk. It just flops over to the side. It will keep its feet underneath of itself...just won’t walk. I have been putting its beak in water and food trying to keep it alive. It seems otherwise fine, and will drink and eat. Just can’t get over to the water and food. When I pick it up and try to make it put pressure on its feet, it’s almost like it has no clue that it’s suppose to be standing on them. It just sort of lets me push its feet up and down. It’s not paralyzed in the legs though. I have seen him kick the legs out and when he flops, he stretches his legs out behind him sometimes. So a couple questions....1. How long should I leave the bandaids on? 2. After the bandaids come off, will it likely walk? 3. Do chicks that have the bandaid boots on, walk normal with the boots on? I would just hate to have this thing suffering if it’s more then just curled toes. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

2x @azygous Sounds like a vitamin deficiency problem ... What are you feeding? You may want to soften the feed/crumbles with water, make a mash & boiled egg yolk ... Chick Chair & Nutri Drench, leave the sandals on until the toes straighten out. Make sure to replace band aids every few days for growing.

I have them all on regular chick starter feed from Tractor Supply. I will go get the Nutri Drench tomorrow. I tried egg yolk and it wanted nothing to do with that. I’ll try the sugar water and the food mash tonight.
Thanks a bunch for the help. I’ll get a chair made tomorrow as well. Fingers crossed this will help the little guy.
