Sad, sad, sad...
I lockdown 29 eggs on April 12, and 14 chicks were hatched yesterday (16th), it is 22nd day, so it was ok.
Those 29 eggs were from two different breeders, and hatched chicks from one breeder are keep dying after they were hatched.
Within 6-8 hours... Bator's temp and humidity are not issue here, I calibrate 2 hygrometer right before lockdown and I put 3 thermometers inside the bator and everything is right.
Chicks from the other breeder are doing well, look lively and healthy, I didn't lose any of them.
Why chicks from this seller are keep dying? I cannot stand it, it is very hard to watch emotionally...
Please tell me your opinion. Thank you.

I would separate the groups of chicks. One group may have a virus or some bacteria that the other does not.

When I ordered my chicks from McMurray two years ago they were having an issue like that and I had 11 day within the first two days. We finally put them on a low grade antibiotic with sugar water OR milk and the others that were sick snapped out of it.

If all chicks hatched around same time and only the one's are dying could be something Genetic. The only 2 breed's of bird's I had trouble with mortality in as babie's are Polish and some crested duckling's.It happen's sometime's.Maybe someone else has some more info here for you.So sorry about your chicks

same thing happening to me here. only three eggs of 25 hatched, and all three died within 12 hours. these were all hatched over a 72 hour period so I know it wasn't the headlamp or anything I was doing. so sad to watch. the last little one couldn't even lift his little head or stand up.

So sorry about your chicks. When I first started reading about them dying, my first thought was there wasn't enough air in the bator, but you said the others were doing fine. So I am with the others that maybe it is genetics.
