Hatched/Hatching

Make that 12. Adult feathers showing now.
Your goats look very cool. You have a nice chill factor going on in North Dakota.

Thank you, and our N. Dakota weather has been teasing us all year. 70 deg. last week and now we are back to 23 and snowing. Baby goats are not happy, they do not like this lack of warm/sun spots! Not sure if spring is ever going to come and I think I forgot what the color green looks like already.

So what breeds did you hatch?

Hey LeviS
I would be in my element if I had, or even worked on a holding that had what you have. Such a cool environment to be in.
I hatched 12 Jersey Giants. They're 5 days old now.
I don't envy you at the moment. I have a pathological fear of the cold lol

I've never had that breed, trying to keep repeating my mantra of only brahmas and Americanas from now on.....but those bins full of chicks at runnings (TSC...sort of) and the egg ads on byc are sooooo tempting.

It is kinda addictive isn't it. If I had the money/space/time/climate & constitution--------etc. I would keep the bator going 24/7 & live on a fixed diet of eggs. With all that protein though, I should at least look like Charles Atlas lol
