Hatched Today...food and water?....

We have one little chick that hatched today. It's chirping up a song and looks healthy and strong. It looks like there will be more as there are other eggs pipped but I didn't want to leave this little cutie all by herself. I removed her to a small box with a heat light just a few minutes ago. Can I give her water and food now? She hatched at about 11:30 this morning.

I think you can give them feed and water, I dont see no reason why you cant.

You can and should provide starter feed and clean water. They don't NEED it for 2 or 3 days while they absorb their yolk sac, but if it is on hand, they can decide when they want it.

Yes, we have feed. She's sleeping right now so I won't disturb her but will put some in when she wakes up.

I thought we have chick starter, I went to the feed store and asked for chick starter. They sold me Grower!

Guess I'm off to the feed store early tomorrow morning.
