Is it possible to use a little giant as the bator and then make a hatcher? I want to be able to keep getting eggs to put in (not patient enough to get eggs once every month, especially when you see a good deal) so i was wondering if it's possible to make a hatcher for days 18-21

I have 2 LG's. I use one for an incubator and one for a hatcher. When I move the eggs to the hatcher, I fill it up again!!![IMG]

Sure, just make it the same way as you would make an incubator. I have a new hovabator and an old hovabator that I use for hatching. Also have a really old sears incubator that I use for hatching sometimes if I need to keep broods separate, I can hatch up to three different breeds and still keep the cabinet bator running right along. I try to set eggs at least a week apart to give me time to clear out the hatcher. There is no reason a homemade bator wouldn't work.
