If you order pullets from a reputable hatchery,is it common to end up with roos instead?

Most hatcheries claim a 90% success rate. Yes, you could wind up with a rooster. How many chicks were you going to order?

Most do a fairly good job.

On my first order from McMurray, out of 26, only one was a roo.

I pre ordered 6 pullets.2 e eggers,gold comet,partr.rock,barred rock,and a rir.The rir has a very large comb and waddles that are deep red,the rest have pale and smaller ones.thanks for the welcome!
