Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know I wound up ordering from Welp Hatchery for an end of January hatch. They weren't the closest, but allowed me to mix and match and had a great variety for beginning of year. I may also still order some from Privett as well, since they had some breeds Welp didn't. I'll probably make a post on the forums here when the chicks arrive to let everyone know how Welp did and if the experience was good. Same if I wind up ordering from Privett as well. Thank you for all the suggestions and help in choosing a good hatchery everyone!

I just went through tractor supply and got 10 chicks from Hoover’s Hatchery yesterday. You can also order directly from them, but then the minimum is 15.

How is the health of birds? Any Marek's when they get older?

All of the big hatchery’s are tested routinely. Baby chicks from won’t bring Marek’s in. Most diseases come from back yard breeders, wild birds, or older birds integrated in from another source.
