One thing for you the buyer is to try and plan your shipping dates around your weather. Every year we read of people getting dead frozen chicks in the spring and cooked dead chicks in the heat of the summer. If you live up north you don't want to order in January nor do you want to do a southern order in August. The hatcheries have flexible shipping dates if you order in advance.
