Hello!

So I bought two chicks from the hatchery choice rare breed bin. They have feathered legs so I thought faverolles at first but they lack the fluffy cheeks/face. I wonder if they aren't Brahmas. If so what color will they be when they grow up?

Cochins and Brahmas both have feathered feet, and show up regularly in assortments of "rare" breeds. Langshans also come in black and have feathered feet.

Brahmas have pea combs, while Cochins and Langshans have single combs. The combs will be more obvious as the chicks grow older, but I think I already see a single comb on the darker chick.

The darker one looks black to me-- so probably a Black Cochin or a Black Langshan.

The lighter one might be a Buff Cochin (buff all over, single comb) or a Buff Brahma (mostly buff, but black in the tail and around the neck, pea comb.)

I think those are the most likely options if they are not Faverolles, but of course they could also be some other breed I'm forgetting.

They are supposed to be pullets.

I hope they aren't cochins. I like cochins but I don't want them again, let alone two of them. They don't seem to have as many feathers as the coaching I had in the past. They only have 4 toes not 5.

The dark on is actually a bad picture. It is a blue/grey.

They're 2-3 day old chicks so they are not showing any sex characteristics yet. As large as they are I'm leaning towards Brahmas. Are there blue/lavender Brahmas?

Not that you are likely to get in a hatchery assortment.

There are only three common colors of Brahmas: Light, Buff, and Dark.
Any of them can look rather gray-ish as chicks, so maybe?
(Some people do breed other colors of Brahmas, but the hatcheries in the USA don't seem to have them.)

I'm really hoping these are Langshans! I just researched the breed a bit. Whatever hatchery they came from also offered Bielefelders so maybe they have the Langshans as well? Those seem to be both blue and buff and black.

The one that looks black in the picture is actually the same shade of blue grey that the sapphire gem is. Lady at the store thought it would be a blue/grey bird as an adult.
