Ideal Poultry has been my favorite, but I live about 45 minutes from their main area so maybe my proximity has allowed me to always get my chicks with no problems.

I got some real nice started birds from Purely Poultry, and from Murray McMurray

Cackle and MMcM; multiple orders over the years. Freedom Ranger hatchery for slower growing meat birds. I will split orders with friends if 25 birds is too many that year. Mary

Add me to the My Pet Chicken fan list. We did have a sexing error (one roo instead of hen) but they never guarantee 100% accuracy - I don't think any hatchery does though. They were very apologetic & prompt about refunding our money. We ordered from them 3x & always had excellent customer service experience.

We ordered 15 pullets from Meyer last week, ordered on Friday, they shipped Tuesday, got them Wednesday. We actually got 16. Hoping this doesn't mean we are getting any roo's! We were happy with how they came and the shipping cost wasn't outrageous.
