Hatchery Choices

I've used Meyer Hatchery on several occasions and have, thus far, been very pleased with both the birds received and their exceptional customer service. That said, don't expect to get perfect SOP birds from a hatchery. Yes, it can happen, but it's rare. If you watch, they even offer free shipping periodically, which is a huge bonus in my opinion. Been considering trying Whelp, but am torn. They have a breed I REALLY want, but I've read mixed reviews.

I just received an order of chicks today from Chickens For Backyards Hatchery. Even after encountering a postal delay They all arrived alive. Some were a little weak but once they warmed up they were fine. They even threw in an extra chick. I would recommend them anytime

I decided to give Ideal a try and am exceedingly pleased with them so far. I ordered 6 Shamos, 4 Siapan and 4 Malays and every one of them is beautiful. They threw in 8 RIR "packing peanuts" but I don't mind that as they'll eventually end up taking a trip to freezer camp. They shipped them out on Wednesday the 29th and I received them today, from TX to TN. Shipping prices were "ideal" too.
