Well out ta 15 ducklings which were all sexed there seems to be a problem. I say this because you have to spend more time sexing a duckling then not sexing one so you think they would pick up on anything odd about the duckling. The runt of the group whose name is little has always been kinda "funny" as in a funny walker and just whole deposition really. So at first I thought it was a runner but I'm like no way a hatchery could mess up a breed? I mean aren't they supposed to be seperated? Little is supposed to be one of my welsh harlequins which I'm pretty sure its an Indian runner instead! I've never owned a runner and never seen one other than in pictures but their stance is so unmistakable. I found it odd that little feathered out differently then the other welsh harlequins have. Little kinda feathered like a Pekin almost at first. "She" was a blondish color like the other ones but then her underneath was turning white almost like a Pekin and now she's whitish with a very pale brownish color. I'd get a pic but kinda hard with 15 and she squirms so much. I checked the hatchery to see what little might be and sure enough they sell runners but only Indian runners, so I googled some pics and she looks like the ones in the pictures
I personally think runners are ugly but that's just me and in by no means do I want to offend anyone who doesn't share my opinion. But don't worry I will be keeping her as I'd hate to seperate her from her flock. My ducklings are almost 5 weeks old so I'm not quite sure what to do. I order 3 WH 2 female, 1 male and instead get 2 female and a runner. I guess that's what happens when I tell my bf he can't have a runner because they are ugly. I'll make sure to keep that part out when ordering next time lol but I'm still really unsure what to do.
