I just picked up my chicken order. I didn't ask for clipped beaks but maybe I should have said don't trim beaks?

I'm assuming RTL means Ready To Lay? Unfortunately, most hatcheries that offer started pullets raise them in confinement that doesn't really allow for enough room for the chicks to avoid each other. They trim the beaks so that the chickens can't do too much damage to each other in these crowded conditions. Generally getting started pullets from these operations without trimmed beaks is not an option.
