hatchery stock to make sex links?

without realizing it, i have a buff orpington roo and a half dozen barred rock hens. from what i am reading they may make a sex link chick? is that correct? i know hatchery birds can sometimes not breed true. thoughts?

You have a perfect recipe for black sex links. I've not done this cross myself, but they're on my list....pics I've seen show beautiful hens with gold on the front speckling to black on the back half. Males are black and gold barred.

X2 on donrae. I've haven't produced a sex link using that particular combination either, but the offspring should be beautiful Black Sex Links, and I suspect that you will get loads of eggs from those pullets.
