Hatching 2 chicks with a broody hen?

Hi, we are able to get 2 more chicks and kinda wanted to hatch them. Can you hatch only 2 eggs with a broody or do you have to hatch more? And is it hard to make your hen go broody?

You can't make a hen go broody. And nk, you can do just 2 eggs, but not every hen that goes broody will sit on just 2 and with just 2, odds increase that one or none will be all that hatch

Well, I have heard you can encourage broodiness.

I mean you can leave a giant pile of eggs and wait for a bird to start sitting, but that's more coincidence than anything. Not to mwntion some breeds just arent very broody period.

Are easter eggers or light brahma know for broodiness

I dont think so. EEs are mutts though so they might be from a broody breed. I could nwver get my brahma to complete a hatch. She always quit around day 14
