Hi everyone! It has been awhile since I have been on this blog, but I just wanted to drop by and bring you all along with me on my third Journey of hatching emus.
Last year's clutch didn't hatch so I'm hoping I have better luck this year.
I once again was generously offered more emu eggs this year, but THIS time there is a double yolker In the mix! Ok I KNOW that it is almost impossible to hatch a double yolk egg and even if it DID hatch it is super rare for either of the chicks to
Survive so I am aware of the risks, I just couldn't help myself
. So yes, I know there I'll be many skeptics stalking this thread, but just humor me lol.
As of the moment I am regulating my incubator's humidity since the temp has leveled off perfectly at 97.5 the humidity is a bit too high at 41 percent. Oh and btw the weights of the eggs are;
Egg A. (553 grams)
Egg B (581 grams)
Egg C. (646 grams)
Egg D (938 grams, yes it's HUGE).
I believe I'll put them in the incubator tonight. Really excited
.
P. s. Oomoo and Lulu are doing WONDERFULLY. I am VERY overdue to give you an update on them.
